John J Nerden RTC Camp Annual Halloween Party! October 30,2006 - Staff
The heavy winds and rain could not dampen the spirits of the John J Nerden Campers as they celebrated Halloween at the annual camp party on Sunday, October 29, 2006.
The Campers came out in large numbers and in full costume hoping to visit wilt their summer camp friends and to have some Halloween fun!
Campers participated in the annual "Pumpkin Hunt" out on the grounds and then went inside to decorate their pumpkins. After their pumpkins were decorated, each camper had a photo taken in
their costume with their decorated pumpkin.
Other activities included, the "Pumpkin Ring Toss" in the arts and crafts room, Musical Broom (or "Pass The Broom"),
where the players who are out move on to decorate cupcakes.
Pin the Nose on the Pumpkin was also a big hit with the campers.
Campers split up into groups and played Halloween Bingo
....and let's not forget the most important event of the afternoon - The Treats!
The annual Halloween Party is one of the many fall and winter activities offered to the campers between October and May each year.
These activities allow the campers to keep in touch with their friends during the off season.
